As of September 14th, 2009, all properties in Miami Dade County with an existing Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler system will be required to obtain a UL/FM Fire Alarm Runner Service maintenance contract with a certified Fire Alarm company. This code will require any property with a Fire Alarm/Sprinkler System to enter into a contract with a Licensed/Certified Fire Alarm Contractor to provide “Runner Service” with a maximum two (2) Hour response time.
